LEaP - Learning and Plasticity Lab
Hi! I’m Gaia Olivo, P.I. of the LEaP group. Our research focuses on investigating rapid brain plasticity in response to skill learning, aka how our brain changes when we learn new skills.
Exploring rapid brain plasticity…
Óur brain is capable of reorganizing its structure and circuits within minutes in response to new challenges.
…with high-resolution brain imaging…
Magnetic resonance imaging allows us to measure changes in brain structure, volume, and connectivity.
…using a translational approach.
By integrating preclinical and human studies, we combine foundational research with societal impact.

Research assistants wanted!
Interested in peeking into people’s brains while they’re learning to play piano? We are now looking for two research assistants to join on the REWIRE project! You will be responsible for data collection, and handling scanning of research participants in the 7T MRI scanner at LBIC, in Lund. Apply here!
REWIRE Update
All ethics is finally approved. Getting ready to get this project started!
